What is the
Williamsburg Sixes?
• A six-a-side, outdoor tournament with full sized goals. It’s a fun, fast-paced setting that’s a great way to open the
Spring soccer season!
Age Groups
• Boys
U-9, U-10, U-11, U-12, U-13, U-14, U-15, U-16, & U-19
• Girls
U-9, U-10, U-11, U-12, U-13, U-14, U-15, U-16, & U-19
When and Where will it happen?
• The tournament will run from 8 AM - 6 PM in Williamsburg.
• Fields will be approximately 70 yards by 55 yards.
• Boys teams will play on Saturday, February 23, 2008.
• Girls teams will play on Sunday, February 24, 2008. - Girls U12 and U13 will play Saturday Feb 23rd, not Feb 24th with the other girls brackets.
What
format will be used?
•
Teams will field six players at a time. Five (5)
field players plus goalkeeper.
• A maximum of ten players will be allowed on each
team (so an 18 player roster can be divided into two teams and
give each team a good work out). Players may play on only
one team in each division.
• The duration of the game will be 24 minutes with
no formal half time. Players will switch sides of the field at
the 12-minute mark. Time will not stop on injury unless
absolutely necessary.
•
Each team will be guaranteed three games within a four to five hour time span (no waiting around all day for that second or third game).
•
There will be unlimited substitution “on the fly” during play. No waiting for breaks in the action.
•
Teams will play a “round-robin” format; the team with the best record in each division will play for the championship.
What will it cost?
• $150 per team.
Eligibility
• This is a USYSA/VYSA
sanctioned tournament for club and tournament teams. Teams
must be USYSA, USSF, FIFA, or US Club Soccer affiliated, in
good standing with their state association, and players
possess 2007-2008 player passes. Teams affiliated with AYSO,
SAY, US Club Soccer or Super Y League are also welcome.
National, state or league select teams are not eligible. Teams
must be USYSA, USSF, FIFA affiliated, in good standing with
their state association.
• Maximum 6 carded guest players per team.
• 2007-2008 Rosters and Player Passes are used
• A team representative must
register the team at least one hour prior to your first game.
Teams may not play without having registered under penalty of
forfeiture of games. Registration will take place at the field
complex registration tent.
Permission
to travel forms are not required from teams from Region 1,
which includes Maryland, PA, etc. However they are required
for teams from Region 2 which includes North Carolina. To view the "Permission to Host" form, visit HERE
Awards
•
There will be awards for each player on the winning and runner-up teams of each division and a team trophy.

Tournament Registration
Registration
will be at Tournament Headquarters at the Warhill Sports
Complex (formerly District Park Sports Complex). You must arrive at least one hour prior to your first
